Consultation

90 minutes in a private fitting room. We discuss lifestyle, posture, and the wardrobe you are building — not just the suit you think you need. Cloth samples spread across the table. No rush.

Measurements

Your cutter takes 28 body measurements and notes asymmetries most ready-to-wear ignores — one shoulder lower, a slight forward tilt, the way you hold your arms when you walk.

Baste fitting

The garment returns in loosely stitched baste form — structure without finish. We pin, mark, and adjust until the cloth falls cleanly from shoulder to hem. This is where fit becomes personal.

Forward fitting

Canvassed, padded, and partially finished. We refine the silhouette — suppress the waist, adjust the lapel roll, confirm button stance. The suit is recognizably yours.

Every Loom & Line jacket is fully canvassed — a horsehair and cotton interlining that moulds to your body over time. No fused glue. No shortcuts. The difference is not visible on day one; it is unmistakable by year three.

A floating chest piece of horsehair canvas is pad-stitched by hand — roughly 1,800 stitches per jacket — allowing the lapel to roll naturally and the front to drape without collapsing.

Loom & Line opened on Savile Row in 2011 with a single premise: the best suit is the one made for one person, by people who will remember their name. We employ twelve cutters and tailors. We produce roughly 400 commissions per year. We do not wholesale. We do not rush.
